New Hillmans single/ Swampfog E.P./ gigs!
Hello!
I hope you’re doing well. Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve been in touch. To be honest I’ve been enjoying being able to get out in the nice weather and see friends and things. I’m sure you’ve probably been the same. But I have a few things coming up very soon that I’d like to tell you about.
Firstly, the new Hillmans single is out this Friday! It’s called “The Fastest Outlaw”, it’s about a cowboy, I play some electric slide guitar on it, Charlie and Jonny are fantastic on it, and I’m so happy with how it has turned-out. It’ll be available from Bandcamp this Friday the 6th, and on streaming exactly a week later.
Secondly, as you may know I play in a New Orleans style funk band called Swampfog, and our first E.P. is also out on Bandcamp this Friday, available on CD, no less! Swampfog contains members of The Katet, Thunkfish, Hidden Orchestra and Tenement Jazz Band, we’re late-night Jazz Bar residents, and we like to have a good old knees-up when we play so if you like your tunes funky, dance-able and energetic please find us on Bandcamp, hit “Follow” and check out the CD on Friday.
Lastly, JP & the HH have an Edinburgh Fringe gig! We’ll be playing at Assembly George Square this Saturday the 7th at 7:45pm til 8:45pm and you can get tickets from the link below. This show is part of a series of Blues Nights and I’ve included the full line-up below. I will also be playing with Nicole & the Backup Crew and the Blueswater and it would great to see you at those shows as well.
