Scottish Blues Weekend 2020/ Aldora Britain Records compilation
Hey everybody, Happy New Year! Is it too late to say that? Sorry if I’ve missed the cut-off…
Got a couple of things that I’d like to tell you about…
The first thing is the second annual Scottish Blues Weekend which I’ve had the great pleasure of co-curating (is that a word?) with my good pals Nicole Smit and Sandy Tweeddale, both of whom I’ll have the pleasure of performing with over the course of the festival, which takes place from February 6th to 10th.
I’ll be playing a headline show with the Hillman Hunters on Sunday the 9th, and there’ll also be a couple of things that have never been seen before, namely a show featuring myself, Sandy Tweeddale and Jon Mackenzie on Friday the 7th, and on Monday the 9th Nicole and I will be appearing at the GD Jam.
If you like your information relayed to you in a slightly less convoluted fashion you can check out the full programme and purchase your tickets at https://www.edinburghjazzfestival.com/winter/themes/the-scottish-blues-weekend.html
In other news I’m very pleased that Aldora Britain Records chose to include the Jed Potts & the Hillman Hunters tune “Four Leaf Clover” on their new compilation. There’s a whole heap of great underground music on there and it’s an honour to be in such great company. Check it out at https://thealdorabritainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/20-20-vision-2?fbclid=IwAR033QQcsZKkinBGyPaOd5-0gX-y8SQpFGlNNWr9yXXwpWABnA7CRKaWL8g
Right, that’s my chat. See yous at the Scottish Blues Weekend!
